Position Announcement This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the day-to-day operations of the airport. Responsibilities include submitting weekly sales reports to City Hall. Time sheet submittals for both full-time and parttime airport employees. Oversight of airfield maintenance, monthly invoicing to local customers, submitting a monthly Motor Fuel Distributor return to the State of Georgia, submitting a monthly Sales and Use of Tax return to the State of Georgia, and submitting a quarterly Federal Excise Tax return to the IRS. Planning the annual airport budget with capital requests and providing support for the annual audit. Overseeing the coordination of projects with the City’s airport engineer including CIP submittals, airport purchasing, and performing related duties. Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma, Associates degree and/or Baccalaureate degree preferred. • More than four years of related experience required. • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. • Have an oral interview with the hiring authority or his representative(s) to determine such things as applicant’s appearance, background, and ability to communicate. • Only the most qualified applicants will be contacted for an interview.
